The protocol
Found a factual error on Ski Shopping Guide? Email corrections@skishoppingguide.com with three things:
- The URL of the page that contains the error.
- The specific claim you believe is incorrect.
- A source we can use to verify the correction (a manufacturer spec sheet, a third-party review, a US retailer listing).
The editorial team reviews each correction within 48 hours. If the claim was wrong, the page is updated and its Last Reviewed date is refreshed. The correction is logged in the table below with the date, the URL, and a one-line description of what changed.
If a claim is not wrong, we reply with the source we relied on. Either way, the email gets a response within 48 hours.
Why we publish corrections openly
We are not infallible and do not claim to be. The site relies on public information, third-party reviews, manufacturer specs, and US retailer prices. Each of those can be wrong, stale, or misread.
A site that publishes corrections openly is a site that can be trusted with the parts that are not corrected. The vulnerability is the credibility move.
Correction log
No corrections yet. The log will populate as readers flag errors and we fix them.
What counts as a correction
Material factual claims: a misnamed product, a wrong spec, a stale price the page says is current, a misattributed quote, a wrong reviewer rating, a wrong reference to an ISO or ASTM standard, an inaccurate description of a brand's certification or warranty.
Voice changes, opinion shifts, or editorial reframings are not logged here. They go to whichever page they affect with a "Last Reviewed" date update.
